We currently have an excellent permanent opportunity for a highly experienced Service Delivery Manager to join the close-knit team of a leading, London based, broadcast service provider.
As a Service Delivery Manager, you will take ownership of the live broadcast and OTT services delivered to clients, managing operations and engineering staff to ensure high impact incidents are resolved immediately during periods of high pressure.
You will coordinate and manage major technical issues to restore live services quickly, whilst maintaining the confidence of senior stakeholders both internally and externally, being the main point of contact for customers and suppliers. You will subsequently produce major incident reports and lessons learned reviews, in addition to owning the Continuous Service Improvement plan.
This position would suit candidates with previous MCR or engineering management experience within a live transmission, playout, VOD (video on demand) or OTT environment.
Confidence, gravitas and a deep technical understanding of OTT workflows are key for this role, along with a strong sense of leadership, tenacity, enthusiasm and capability to manage a service during rough patches in a high intensity facility.
This position will predominantly involve weekend working, as the owner of the overall service from Friday to Monday. Candidates must therefore be flexible and willing to work unsociable hours, including 12-hour shifts, nights and weekends.
