We are currently working with a leading international broadcast product manufacturer that is looking to recruit a Customer Support Engineer to join its existing team on a permanent basis.
As Customer Support Engineer you will report into the Customer Support Manager and be responsible for the installation of the company’s products on customer sites, which include major international broadcast organisations.
You will undergo a period of training to learn all aspects of broadcast robotic camera systems, which include electro-mechanical devices and electronic systems. Once up to speed, you will be expected to travel (25%-40%) to customer sites worldwide, with trips often being less than one week in duration.
To be considered for this role, our client is looking for candidates with a strong electronics background, recognised electronics qualifications in combination with some general mechanical understanding. Good IT/Networking skills are important, as is experience in installing, commissioning and supporting high value capital equipment. Specific experience with broadcast robotic camera systems is highly advantageous, as is the ability to speak German. This role is predominantly customer-facing so applicants must have excellent communication skills and be able to work well under pressure.
