We are currently working with a leading broadcast services company, based in the North West of England, that has multiple opportunities for Broadcast Engineers to join its team on a freelance basis.
Working as a Broadcast Engineer, you will be responsible for the maintenance of production equipment across studios and galleries, including: cameras, vision mixers, sound consoles, production switchers and audio and video routers.
You will also support live MCR facilities, which will require familiarity with RF, uplinking, multiplexing and encoding systems. Experience of supporting Avid and EVS production systems and workflows would be advantageous, as would strong networking skills across TCP/IP, WAN and LAN.
The roles will be shift-based, on an ad-hoc basis, and involve 12-hour shifts covering evenings and weekends as required.
Candidates will ideally have a degree, or equivalent experience, in broadcast engineering or electrical engineering, with previous experience of working in a fast-paced live broadcast environment.
