A leading digital sports content provider is experiencing a really exciting period of growth and is now looking to recruit a Lead Editor on a permanent basis. In this role you will lead and mentor a team of Editors, working across a variety of sports programming for both long and short-form projects including promos, magazine shows and preview and review packages; ensuring that working practises and workflows are set up and followed.

As the Lead Editor, you will work closely with the Post Production Operations Manager on strategy for the edit team technically, operationally and managerially and will work with Producers, bringing your own creative ideas to each project. An important part of this role will be to lead the team to produce an exciting range of creative content whilst working in conjunction with a number of production teams.

You will also be responsible for helping to determine the look and style of certain packages and communicating these effectively to the rest of the team, representing the Edit department on all key working practice updates. Other duties will also include working closely with relevant support teams to ensure that software/hardware upgrades are fully tested and approved for operational use and to assist on workflow developments.

To be considered for this role, it is essential that candidates have extensive skills using Avid editing software and a working knowledge of Avid Interplay, with experience in both long and short-form editing. You must also have a strong grading ability using Avid Symphony colour correction tools and a good knowledge of both Boris and Sapphire plugins.

As this is a senior role, it is key that you have some previous experience of managing others, combined with a good understanding of technical workflows and delivery aspects of broadcast and digital media.

Any previous experience of sports broadcasting or an interest in sports would be highly advantageous.
