Deborah Cross Principal Consultant

Deborah is an experienced recruiter, a Psychology graduate who worked in IT recruitment, before taking a career break to have children. She joined Christy Media Solutions in January 2005, specialising in Broadcast Technology and Operations, and is now responsible for managing some of our major broadcast accounts, sourcing a wide range of broadcast professionals in both contract and permanent appointments.  In 2015 Deborah passed her IABM exam to achieve Certified Broadcast and Media Technologist Associate status.

Deborah has placed many Programme / Project Managers and Project Engineering teams for large broadcast builds, as well as day-to-day operational staff across broadcast support platforms covering: playout, MAM, studios, graphics and post areas. Key successes at Christy Media have included managing our largest broadcaster client for 10 years and delivering a crucial project to provide crew for the London 2012 Olympics and Paralympics.

A highly experienced recruiter, having worked across most of the broadcast and satellite sectors, Deborah has great industry knowledge and contacts. She enjoys regularly attending industry shows, including BroadcastAsia, BVE, CABSAT and IBC, as well as visiting some of the leading technical universities to speak to the next generation of broadcast graduates.

Deborah runs weekly and has successfully competed in many 5k and 10k races, raising money for various charities. She enjoys spending her time outside work with her friends, family and her West Highland Terrier dog, Molly. She also works in her community and her Sunday mornings are devoted to helping out with the development of a junior footballer team.
