|Job Title:||Pre-Sales Project and IT Engineer|
|Location:||Europe: South of England, UK|
|Salary:||£35,000 – £40,000 per annum|
We are currently working with a leading broadcast product manufacturer that has an exciting permanent opportunity available for an experienced Pre-Sales Project and IT Engineer to join its team.
This is a dual-function role covering both pre-sales project engineering and the management of internal and external IT systems, requiring a hybrid skillset across broadcast and IT engineering.
As the Pre-Sales Project and IT Engineer, you will address severe outages of core IT systems (email, telephony, internet connectivity), carry out fault-finding and system / process level diagnosis, ensure the security of key IT platforms, maintain software licences in-line with company policies and recommend and implement IT improvements to meet business needs and continuity.
As a Pre-Sales Engineer, your responsibilities will include taking briefs from the Sales team and translating these into corresponding requirements, capturing technical customer requirements / features, drafting project documents and systems diagrams and recording product and project-related defects.
In addition, you will set up, test and demonstrate Technical Proof of Concept systems, maintain demo equipment both on-site and remotely (cloud based) and attend broadcast industry trade shows globally.
Candidates will have proven experience working in an Engineering capacity in the broadcast industry, ideally within a transmission environment, and have strong knowledge of broadcast workflows for file-based, SDI and IP content delivery.
Applicants should also be skilled in:
- configuring IT networks (including firewalls, subnets and VLANs)
- ensuring IT security
- administrating and maintaining Microsoft applications (Exchange, Microsoft Dynamics CRM)
Design experience using Microsoft Visio or AutoCAD is required. Any additional experience of Linux operating systems, cloud deployment and remote monitoring tools would be highly advantageous.
You will be highly motivated, possess exceptional client-facing skills and be a confident communicator to liaise with all levels of seniority, including customers, channel partners and system integrators.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a market leading broadcast software vendor, offering the chance to travel internationally to work on a variety of projects (up to 40% travel, dependent on project activity). Applicants must therefore be flexible and willing to travel worldwide.
If you feel you have the right skills and experience to be considered for this role and you are eligible to work in the UK without restriction, please apply now.
