|Job Title:||Senior MCR Operator|
|Location:||Europe: N England, UK|
|Sector:||Operations & Production|
We currently have an excellent permanent opportunity for a Senior MCR Operator to join a major digital sports content provider, based in the North of England. This is part of an exciting expansion period for our client’s already extensive portfolio of live and on-demand sport content across its OTT platform offering.
As a Senior MCR Operator you will be responsible for providing support in the master control room and ensuring the smooth delivery of all content transmitted worldwide. Your duties will include carrying out configurations according to booking information, quality controlling incoming and outgoing broadcasts and completing line-up checks and procedures with production teams. You will also manage switchings into the playout channels for live broadcasts.
In this position you will be responsible for troubleshooting and investigating issues within other teams and providing accurate reports on key deliverables. Your role will also involve training new starters and standing in for Team Leaders in their absence; so it’s vital that you are able to demonstrate strong previous experience in a live environment.
To be considered for this role, you must have experience of working in an MCR environment, combined with knowledge of satellite transmission or RF delivery. You must have exceptional attention to detail and be self-motivated, with the ability to multi-task and work calmly under pressure, within a busy environment. Any additional knowledge of HD, quality control (QC), new media, encoding or streaming technologies would be highly advantageous.
This position will be working as part of a shift rota, within a 24/7 broadcast environment, which will include nights, weekends and public holidays.
If you feel you have the right skills and experience to be considered for this opportunity and want to be part of this exciting project, then please apply now.
Please note, our client is unable to provide visa / work permit sponsorship, so please only apply if you have a full EU passport or the required visa/documentation already in place to live and work in the UK without restriction.
