We are currently recruiting on behalf of a leading broadcast services company that requires multiple freelance Technical Operators to join its team based in the North of England.
Working as a Technical Operator, you will be primarily responsible for providing audio and video control room support, whilst working closely with all teams to deliver professional broadcast content:
- As Sound Operator, you will be responsible for mixing sound sources, monitoring and maintaining audio levels, ingesting and playing out audio and operating ancillary equipment (including compressor/ limiter, ISDN). You will rig all audio equipment including microphones whilst ensuring that all health and safety guidelines are met and that you are regularly liaising with production staff and talent via talkback.
- As EVS Operator, your duties will include EVS replays, ingesting and playing out content, sourcing selection via monitoring routers and using IP Director and any other server based video systems where required.
- Within studio and camera operation you will be required to set up cameras and microphones, operate remote camera control systems and intelligent lighting desks.
To be considered for these positions, candidates must be able to demonstrate experience in sound, EVS, camera, graphics and lighting operation within a live environment. Working knowledge of gallery and studio equipment is important along with an interest in sport.
As a Technical Operator you must also be a great team player, possess excellent communication skills and have first-rate attention to detail.
