Celebrating inspirational female engineers on International Women’s Day, the Institute of Engineering and Technology has opened nominations for its Young Woman Engineer of the Year (YWE) Awards.

These awards recognise talent and professionalism, demonstrating to young women across the UK that engineering is a diverse and exciting industry, offering creative and challenging careers.

The Women’s Engineering Society provides the WES Prize as part of the YWE Awards and this is awarded to a young female engineer who is able to engage and inspire young people’s involvement in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM).
