A leading broadcast service provider currently has an urgent 10 month Fixed Term Contract available for a Broadcast Support Engineer to join its London based team.
As a Broadcast Support Engineer, you will provide engineering support for playout, MCR and studio facilities/equipment to ensure that systems operate to appropriate technical standards and are available for use continuously. Responsibilities also include undertaking fault analysis, replacing equipment/systems and/or making temporary hardware/system changes.
To be successful you must demonstrate strong computing skills, including a good practical understanding of Windows OS and networking. You’ll have experience of broadcast playout and ideally in supporting live studios as well as working knowledge of SDI, AES, HD, Dolby and MPEG systems. A working knowledge of post-production equipment, broadcast automation and workflow systems for studios and transmission, and a technical awareness of emerging technologies is essential.
This role is based on a shift rota: 7am-7pm and 2pm-2am on a 7-day per fortnight including weekends. On-site parking is available and the salary offered is inclusive of a 20% shift allowance. You will also qualify for the company bonus scheme as well as a comprehensive benefits package.
