|Job Title:||Broadcast Support Engineer|
|Sector:||Engineering & Development|
|Type:||Fixed Term Contract|
We are currently working with a major entertainment technology company that has an exciting opportunity for a Broadcast Support Engineer, on an initial 12 month fixed-term contract, to join its team in Germany.
In this role you will provide support to live production facilities including studios (lighting, cameras, vision mixers and video routers), MCR, post production and IP-based playout. As a Broadcast Support Engineer, you will take responsibility for incoming feeds and work closely with production teams to ensure that technical equipment is maintained to the required standards. This will involve troubleshooting and resolving issues in a high pressure live environment. You will also assist with internal upgrades, such as installing and commissioning new equipment and providing training and documentation on new infrastructure.
Candidates will ideally have a degree, or equivalent, in a broadcast-related technology subject and have strong experience of working in a live broadcast production environment. You should have a good understanding of baseband and IP video signals, as well as the ability to install and configure networks to support a wide range of broadcast and IT equipment. Knowledge of multiple IT operating systems (Windows, Mac, Linux) would also be highly advantageous.
Previous experience of working in a live sports environment is preferred, as is an interest or exposure to online gaming or eSports. As well as working in a high-tech studio environment, you will also attend industry shows and events, so applicants should therefore be willing to travel as part of this role.
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a cutting-edge project and work with groundbreaking broadcast technologies.
If you feel that you have the required experience and are passionate about working in a technology market which holds huge potential in the future of broadcasting, then please apply now for immediate consideration.
