A leading broadcast product manufacturer currently has a fantastic permanent opportunity available for an experienced Customer Support Engineer, to join its team based in the South West of England.
As a Customer Support Engineer, you will take full ownership of global customer issues via telephone and email, provide technical support, troubleshoot and replicate problems within a lab environment and escalate cases in line with company guidelines. You will track issues through to final resolution using a CRM system.
Alongside this, you will deliver training to customers and internal support staff, develop training materials, write knowledge articles and feature requests and keep up-to-date with emerging technologies and workflows in the broadcast industry.
You will also work closely with internal sales teams to ensure customers are issued with the correct product licences and entitlements.
To be considered for this position, you will ideally have a Computer Science, Broadcast Technology or Media Production related degree or equivalent experience, preferably having worked within a post-production or television broadcast environment.
Candidates must also possess Windows system administration skills, an understanding of computer networking and in-depth knowledge of media files and video codecs. Any additional experience of broadcast servers, editing systems, shared storage, SQL server or scripting / programming would be highly advantageous.
Liaising with clients on a daily basis, this will be a highly customer service oriented position requiring exceptional communication skills, initiative and a proactive, flexible approach.
