We are currently working with a major sports broadcast organisation that is looking to recruit an Ingest and File Delivery Operator to join its London based team on a permanent basis. In this role, you will be responsible for successfully ingesting and delivering file-based content whilst adhering to specific guidelines.
As an Ingest and File Delivery Operator, your duties will include coordinating the ingest of live and delayed video content streams, ensuring that content has been captured correctly and on time and that all metadata is accurate. You must also make sure that any issues that arise are escalated to the relevant technical teams such as MCR, Media Management and Engineering.
It is also important that you can demonstrate an understanding of all delivery routes to transmission partners, as you will be responsible for QC’ing all files for delivery to transmission, ensuring that they are compliant and delivered on time.
To be considered for this role, applicants must be able to demonstrate experience working with ingest systems, transcoding software and media management tools, within a broadcast environment. You must have a good working knowledge of video and audio file formats and an understanding of file types and codecs including processing times in order to know if there will be any impacts on file delivery. Operational knowledge of EVS IPDirector would also be highly advantageous.
You must have a flexible work approach as this role will be working in a 24/7 broadcast environment, therefore you must be willing to work 12-hour shifts, covering weekends, evenings and nights.
