We are currently working with an expanding, London based company, specialising in broadcast content, that has a permanent opportunity for a Live Broadcast Support Engineer to join its team.
As a Live Broadcast Support Engineer you will provide technical support to broadcast and IT systems to ensure that these are working effectively at all times, resolving any issues in a quick and efficient manner.
You will install, maintain and upgrade video systems across Windows and Linux operating systems and work closely with various server and CDN applications. You will assist clients with live technical support and, when required, travel to customer sites to resolve any issues.
To be successful in this role, candidates should have experience of working in a broadcast facility in an engineering role. You should have experience of supporting, maintaining and configuring IP-based video streaming networks as well as video encoding / transcoding solutions. Any Cisco networking experience or qualifications, for example CCNA, would be highly advantageous as would knowledge of IPTV / online video technologies such as IGMP, RTP and UDP.
Please note this is a shift-based role in a 24/7 broadcast environment, therefore applicants must be flexible with their working hours to support business requirements.
