We are currently recruiting on behalf of a leading international broadcast organisation that has an excellent opportunity for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join its London based team on an initial 12-month contract.
As the Mechanical Design Engineer you will be responsible for driving the development of products through from concept to mass manufacture, supporting ongoing research and design, to deliver innovation and excellence.
Working with the Mechanical Design team you will act as the Lead Mechanical Engineer on any given project, ensuring the product meets the high level of cosmetic and performance standards expected, bringing the next generation of products to life for the consumer. You will also work as part of the team, collaborating with other engineers and designers to troubleshoot any design issues that arise, aiding production and optimising components. The successful candidate must have a sound understanding of manufacturing processes to assess technical constraints and improve it where possible.
It is essential that applicants have a proven background in the electronic or electromechanical industry with strong mechanical design skills using Solidworks. An excellent understanding of a wide variety of manufacturing processes is also important, likewise strong communication skills, as you will be liaising with international teams, key stakeholders and external suppliers on the development of multiple components.
