|Job Title:||Media Playout Operator – Freelance|
|Location:||Europe: London, UK|
|Salary:||£180 – £200 per day|
|Sector:||Operations & Production|
A global broadcast organisation currently has an excellent opportunity for a Media Playout Operator to join its London based Production Services team on an ad-hoc, freelance basis.
As a freelance Media Playout Operator, you will be responsible for ensuring that all material is played out correctly and that the video clips are queued in the right order and on time. Your duties will include making sure that running orders are maintained, using EVS LSM to play out clips in a very quick turn-around environment and, in the event of a system failure, you will be required to playout all clips to air manually. You will also work with the production team for editorial assistance to decide on the order of content to produce the best vision for air.
It is important that you have strong customer service skills as you will work closely with other departments and build relationships with colleagues and external clients.
To be considered for this role, applicants must have previous experience of working in a live studio gallery environment with good knowledge and a keen interest in current news affairs. Any experience with EVS LSM would also be highly advantageous but not essential.
This role requires strong focus and the ability to remain calm under pressure to ensure that no mistakes are made which would affect content that is aired on television.
You must also be flexible to work 12-hour shifts including nights, weekends and public holidays.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work with an international broadcast organisation in an exciting fast-paced environment.
Please note that only applicants who are already fully eligible to live and work in the UK without the need for visa sponsorship can be considered.
