Emily Oliver Principal Consultant

Emily joined Christy Media Solutions as a trainee in 2009, after completing her degree in Media and Cultural Studies. She initially worked across all areas of the broadcast sector, gaining a breadth of experience recruiting for a wide range of roles, before choosing to specialise in the delivery aspect of the business.   In 2015 Emily passed her IABM exam to achieve Certified Broadcast and Media Technologist Associate status.

Emily’s particular expertise lies in the areas of Playout, Post Production, MAM and Content Distribution. She works with major broadcast facilities, service providers and post production houses to source suitable candidates for their teams, covering areas such as: systems engineering, studio and transmission support; operations, ingest and media workflow design; streaming media and emerging technologies.  In 2017 she became a Principal Consultant and now leads our Engineering & Development recruitment team.

Emily played an integral role in Christy Media’s successful placement of many broadcast professionals at the London Olympics and Paralympics and brings dedication, enthusiasm and a great sense of humour to the team.

Emily regularly attends IBC, BVE and CabSat and really enjoys speaking with her clients and candidates to gain a full understanding of their individual recruitment needs and job aspirations. She is a “people person” and genuinely enjoys interacting with candidates and maintaining the professional relationships she has developed within the broadcast industry.

In her free time, Emily is a serious shopper (Becky Bloomwood watch out!) but when she’s not browsing the shops, she enjoys socialising with her friends, visiting new places on holiday and spending time with her family.
