A leading, online entertainment company currently has an excellent opportunity for a Post Production Engineer to join its team based in Germany, on an initial 12 month fixed-term contract.
In this role you will manage and oversee systems, servers and applications which are crucial to the success of renowned broadcast productions. The Post Production Engineer will be responsible for broadcast IT networks and improving file-based workflows throughout the production process. You will provide technical support to edit suites including: Avid Media Composer, Adobe Premiere Pro and Final Cut Pro software, as well as ensuring that IT-based encoders / decoders are functional and supporting business requirements.
To be successful in this position, you should have experience of supporting broadcast and post production IT equipment across Windows, Mac and Linux platforms. You will have a strong understanding of shared, network and cluster-based storage solutions associated with linear editing, as well as media asset management (MAM) and digital asset management (DAM) workflows.
Experience of supporting media file transfer tools such as Signiant and Aspera would be advantageous, as would in-depth knowledge of video codecs and compressed / uncompressed video formats. Exceptional candidates will have experience of cloud service implementation (AWS, GCP etc.) and ideally scripting skills in Python, Ruby or similar.
You should have a flexible approach to travelling and working away from home occasionally, as you may be required to attend industry events and trade shows.
