A leading, London based, broadcast and media company currently has two permanent opportunities for Production Systems Engineers to join its technical team.
As a Production Systems Engineer you will be working across the company’s production technology infrastructure, providing a high level of support, identifying and resolving faults as and when they arise.
Additionally you will investigate the root cause of issues and ensure resolutions are implemented, perform upgrades on the existing technology when required and ensure that on-boarding is carried out in line with customers’ expectations.
Applicants should have a thorough understanding across broadcast video, audio and metadata (ideally including XML), with knowledge of emerging formats such as 4K, UHD and IMF. Experience with all major file formats including MPEG2, WMV and H.264 is essential as is technical exposure to at least some of the following – Aspera, Signiant Media Shuttle, Telestream Vantage, Digital Rapids, StorNext, Vidchecker, Tektronix Cerify, SAM Alchemist, Rhozet Carbon Coder, Dalet Amberfin ICR, Final Cut Pro, Rohde and Schwarz Venice and Clipster.
Strong IT knowledge, including servers, networking and storage is also important, with any Linux systems administration experience and knowledge of cloud-based technologies being highly beneficial. Scripting skills in Python, Java or C++ would also be extremely advantageous.
It is important that all applicants have strong communication skills and the ability to talk to technical and non-technical audiences whilst being comfortable engaging with internal and external clients.
