|Salary:||£55k – £60k per annum + Excellent Benefits|
|Sector:||Engineering & Development|
A major sports broadcasting company currently has an excellent opportunity for a Senior Electronics Hardware Engineer to join its R&D team on a permanent basis.
As a Senior Engineer, you will take full responsibility for the overall quality of the electronics hardware that will be a key part of high tech, bespoke systems which support the delivery of video and data at major sporting events worldwide.
Day to day, you will be designing both analogue and digital circuits for low and high voltage systems, ensuring solutions are robust and reliable. You will feed into the architecture, design and development of embedded software and develop appropriate test hardware and procedures to ensure the correct operation of systems prior to deployment.
Applicants should be educated to degree level or equivalent in an electronics related subject, ideally working towards chartered engineer status.
A strong background in the design and development of electronic hardware, working across the development lifecycle from concept through to testing and deployment is essential, as is proven experience in electronic schematics and PCB design.
Additional experience of debugging and supporting hardware during systems integration is also important, along with a flexible approach to work, being comfortable working across a range of tasks and not wanting to purely focus in one area of hardware engineering.
Experience in any of the following would also be highly beneficial: networking and serial protocols, video and audio standards, C, C++ and Python, VHDL and FPGA design, RTOS such as Linux or QNX and the design of circuits containing FPGA’s and embedded processors.
This is a great opportunity to join a fast-paced company and be involved in developing state-of-the-art systems which help to deliver quality sports broadcasting coverage to millions of viewers worldwide.
If you feel you have the skills and experience to be successful in this role and you are fully eligible to work in the UK, then please apply now for consideration.
